If you are in the Chapel at the moment, the obvious is that this is a large painting! If you’ve ever hung paintings, you may understand some of the challenges that involve conforming to the space. The entire piece is 54 feet (16.5 meters) wide. There are 21 canvases, the bulk on the curved, 15 on the curved north wall. The challenge to hanging the pieces is getting all the components to line up on all edges.
We’ve considered updating some of the lighting, but we are concerned about changing the intensity and spectrum of the existing install.
We have 7 different installations which we try to rotate throughout the year. These are stored in two different locations in Fargo.
